Abstract
The purpose of the article is to identify and analyze the structural dynamics of the associative field of the concept of “state” among university students in Tyumen from 2020 to 2024 through comparative analysis of quantitative and qualitative changes. The research methodology employs a three-wave longitudinal study examining the dynamics of associative perceptions of the state among Tyumen students in 2020 (n=214), 2022 (n=206), and 2024 (n=197) document a transformation in collective ideas about the state among young students. Discussion of the results reveals a key trend in the perception of the concept of “state” from a complex, ambivalent model centered around horizontal objects to the vertical model established in 2024, which is a kind of synthesis of the personification of the state with an ideology of consolidation, resulting in the de-emphasis of anthropocentric and critical models of perception. The conclusion summarizes findings that confirm the research significance for practical implementation of state policy in relevant domains.
