Abstract
The current legislation regulating the activities of the prosecutor to prevent extremist activity is analyzed. A number of conflicting norms of the current Law on Prosecutor’s Office and the Law on Countering Extremist Activity are identified. On the basis of comparative analysis of statistical data and law enforcement practice in this area, the author identifies the distinctive features of the prosecutor’s warning as a measure of prosecutorial response.
