The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of strategic interaction between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China in the field of pharmaceutical industry as one of the key areas of formation of sustainable humanitarian partnership and strengthening of national pharmaceutical sovereignty. The purpose of the study is to identify the structural and regulatory framework for the formation of a sustainable model of bilateral interaction in the field of production and circulation of medicines. The study uses the methods of comparative analysis, systemic and political economy approach. The differences and points of contact between the pharmaceutical systems of Russia and China are analyzed, covering: forms of state support, the level of technological independence, the degree of integration into global production and logistics chains, as well as areas of import substitution. In the context of improving the efficiency and further development of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, an analysis was conducted to identify promising areas for mutual cooperation. The findings of the study indicate that there is a significant potential for strengthening cooperation between Russia and China in the pharmaceutical industry. The convergence of national interests in the field of biomedical security allows both countries to implement a long-term strategy aimed at strengthening cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring sustainable development and achieving independence in the production of life-saving medicines.
