Abstract
Actions of the Western countries in the context of the Ukrainian conflict are analyzed. The main attention is paid to their legal status and possible consequences of their intervention. It is established that the involvement of Western countries in the conflict situation gives rise to a number of problems and contradictions in the field of international law concerning neutrality and the right to self-defense.
