The process of ethnic migration, which has both objective and subjective prerequisites is analyzed. A conclusion is drawn on the causes and consequences of ethnic migration. The analysis of the situation in Russia reveals a direct correlation between the proportion of ethnic migrants in the population and the scale of ethnic crime and interethnic conflicts between migrants and the indigenous population.
